PET or polyethylene terephthalate film is a thermoplastic polymer commonly referred to as polyester film. Like most thermoplastics, PET films can be biaxially oriented or bubble extruded. Polyester film is one of the most common substrates used in the converting industry because of its balance of properties in relation to other thermoplastic polymers.

 

Main Application of PV Cells Polyester Film

TPT and TPE are the main material for photovoltaic cells back sheet, which include three layers. P means polyester film.

The good water vapour barrier property, excellent electrical properties and robust "cut-through" and tear resistance makes polyester film become the important component of the TPT and TPE.

The normal thickness used on TPT is 250um and the roll length of the polyester film is adjustable.
