SBTJM-10 Water-Reducing and Set-Retarding Admixture




DESCRIPTION
SBTJM-10 concrete water-reducing admixture is a synthetic powder based on beta-naphthalene sulphonate formaldehyde condensates and special plasticizer. It has the

performances of middle range water reduction, set retarding, slump retention and

strengthening. SBTJM-10 is adaptable to low or middle-strength concrete where set retarding is desired to insure sufficient delivery, placement, vibration or

compaction time in large bulk concreting, hot weather concreting and transit concreting.

SBTJM-10 is formulated to comply with the following specification  for concrete admixture: ASTM494, Type D; GB8076-1997.


MAIN TECHNICAL PROPEERTIES

Moderate water reduction
Tested according to GB8076-1997, the water reduction rate is around 15%.


Obvious strengthening effect
The compressive strength of concrete is improved by 30-60% at the age of 3 days, 20-50% at the age of 7 days and 15% at the age of 28 days respectively.


Moderate set-retarding effect
SBTJM-10 can retard the initial and final set time of concrete by about 6 hours.  At the usual addition rate of 0.3 % by weight of cementitious material, it will extend  the initial setting time of concrete by 5-6 hours at 20℃.


Good workability
It can provide high slump-retaining and low slump loss effects. The concrete with

SBTJM-10 has improved workability, non-segregation, non-sedimentation and excellent pumpability.


ADDITION RATE
The normal range of SBTJM-10 addition rate is 0.25~0.4% by weight of cementitious materials . The addition amount  will depend on the degree of required retardation under job conditions.  Longer setting time or higher temperature will require higher addition rates. Conversely,

the addition rate will be lower.


PACKAGING
SBTJM-10 is packaged in anti-wetting double-layer plastic bag and has net weight of 25kg per bag.
