These kind of linear stepper motor or step motor linear actuator have a hollow shaft or threaded shaft, which allows them to be used as a linear actuator with Bespoke Leadscrew or Ground Leadscrew. Brass nut, POM nut or Anti-backlash Nuts. Stainless Steel Acme standard Trapezoidal Leadscrew with normal treatment or Telfon Coating treatment for anti-corrosion or special long run and smooth applications. As the motor runs, it moves along the leadscrew or ballscrew at a specific rate of 1cm per 5 or so full rotations. These are a good choice for linear motion where precision and repeatability are important.
