Made from the high quality corrosion resistant resin and continuous fiber winding without alkali, filament winding FRP pipe possesses the characteristics of lightness, high strength, distinguished corrosion resistance and expedient installation and maintenance etc., which were applied widely in the oil-field system of sewage treatment, electrical plant water circulation, water pipe with electric magma and projects of chemical engineering, metallurgy, and medicine processing etc.
The FRP pipe has been tested and well-operated till now in the oil-field of Zhongyuan, Shengli, Daqing, Jianghan and Liaohe long distance conveying pipeline and the system of sewage treatment and Tibet Yangbajing Electrical Plant, Pakistan Feisalamade & Keteli Electrical Plant and Qinshan Nuclear Power Station, and therefore enjoyed the applause of the customers.
Structure of GRP Pipe for Sewage:
In the FRP .with high tensile strength, the fiberglass plays the role of reinforcement whiles the wear-resistance and pressure –resistance synthetic resin is used for bonding the fiber as the basic materials. Putting together, they commonly play the role of being in finished form and load carrier.
The wall structure of the FRP pipe is normally consisting of two parts:
Structure layer: make the continuous glass fiber woven of which is cross winded according to the design angle as the reinforcing frame. Make the synthetic resin as the bonding basic materials. Among them, the weight of fiberglass occupied about 65-70% weight of resin about 30-35%. In order to strengthen the structural stiffness, the resin and silicon sand paste could be added in the middle layer of fiberglass filament winding layer.
Inner liner-this is a layer of anti corrosion and leakage proof it is formed by two parts.
1. Interior surface layer-this is a layer directly contacts the medium and it is corrosion resistance and the first layer of leakage proof. The content of resin in this layer is about 90%.
2. The second interior layer-it is formed by chopped strand mat reinforcement and anti corrosion resin; the content of the gel coat is above 70% and about 2mm thickness. This is the second protection of anti leakage of the medium.

1, How to choose the pipe materials of GRP?
Generally speaking, the choice of RPMP should consider the groundsill and soil of RPMP. When the design of pipeline has the full reconnaissance design, geology situation, and hydrology situation, we should choose according to the AWWA-C950 standard. For the using factories, they can supply such data to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer can carry out the design and produce the qualified pipe materials according to the buyers’ demand.
2, The notice of ordering to the GRP pipes?
General booker should define the following questions including using condition:
1). The structure length of the fixed length RPMP is 1.2m. However, in the real lay project, the spigot and socket joint is adopted, the pipe’s using quantity should be calculated by the pipe’s effective length. Generally speaking, the effective length of 1.2m fixed length pipe: 300-DN1200 is 11.74m, DN1300-DN1500 is 11.679m and DN1600-DN2600 is 11.613m.
Eg: if we lay the straight pipe section for length 1000m, the quantity of fixed length pipe with effective length 11.74 is 1000m÷11.74m/piece≈85pieces.
2). In order to meet the buyer’s demand, manufacture can produce the unfixed length pipe. Generally speaking, RPMP can produce various pipes of any length (≤12m). But it must consult the manufacturer’s suggestions. Generally speaking, the manufacturer can supply the unfixed length pipes with 3m, 4m, 5m, 6m, 8m, and 12m.
