Hillside protective fence is also known as flexible protective fence and falls into active protection and passive protection types.
Active protective fence is made by coating various flexible mesh dominated by steel wire rope net on the slopes or rocks needed to be protected, to restrict weathering and spalling of soil on the slope and rocks and rock avalanches (reinforcing effect) or control the falling rocks in a certain range (enclosure effect).
Passive Protective Fence is mainly composed of steel wire ropes, ring network (a layer of iron wire grilling added to intercept small falling rocks), fixed systems (rock bolt, anchor rope, base and support rope), pressure reduction rings and steel columns. Steel columns and steel wire rope net connect and form a whole, forming surface protection of the area being protected, thus preventing collapsed rock and soil from falling and protecting the slopes.
