It enjoys the advantages of both materials – high strength of glass fiber and high flexibility of polyester. After absorbing bitumen, the cloth forms a structure, which is resistant to water, heat and corrosion. It has low expansion efficiency, high toughness, without creep deformation. The bitumen-immersed cloth is well bonded with other layers, which can disperse the stress and keep water from leaking. So it can increase the fatigue resistance, decrease the possibility of reflective cracking, and therefore prolong the service life of road.

Fiberglass polyester paving cloth does not shrink when immersed with high temperature bitumen. So it forms a continuous complete indeformable waterproofing layer, which can prevent water from leaking.
