Expansive oil well cement:

Volume contraction occurring during oil well cement hydration serves as the main reason that leads to poor bond of cement sheath interface, fluid (oil, gas or water) channeling in well and oil reservoir contamination. Under high temperature and pressure, the contracted volume in cement setting is 2.6-5.0% of total volume of cement slurry; while over 95% contracted volume is generated after final set. In plastic state, volume contraction of cement slurry will decrease pore pressure in cement slurry column (weight loss out of gelation) and lead to oil, gas or water invasion. After cement setting, volume contraction will cause trouble in cement bond between the cement sheath and stratum and casing and lead to a micro gap. This will affect cementing quality and cause great loss of oil and gas resources.

For the cementing quality problems caused by high contraction of oil well cement, our company developed expansive cement with many good properties, e.g. high strength, low filtration, anti-pollution, high temperature resistant and low free fluid.
