if the inlet or out let of pump is larger than 200mm, it will be very diffult to transport and assemble the pipe and PVC tape, so we use converter on the pump, then, when you purchase a pump with 500mm inlet or outlet, you can assemble 150mm or 200mm size pipes on the pump set.
